A Race Weekend
Yesterday, my initial plan was to drop by at Helena’s (walk-able distance from my office) to watch the Magny Cours GP qualifying so that I would not missed Fernando in action- Live on TV! (Awww)
As I much loved, I was able to get off work early. All smile. I thought I could enjoy the whole session from the very beginning. I pushed hard on the paddle, heading home. That feeling was like my dad was waiting for me at home to take me to the store, buying me new colour pencil when I was ten. You know that feeling I suppose.
When I reached home, I let my bag on the dining table (as I always did). Without wasting a second, walked over towards the TV. My arm was already half handed out before I realized those words stick on TV: wired burnt. The hand was faster than the brain. I thought: Heya I should not had got off early. That was how I missed it. Yes, he had pole position again at Magny Cours.
While at dinner with my sister (in Alexis: they have #1 blue berry cheesecake!Yummy!) I got a replied call from Helena. She suggested for a sleepover at hers to watch the LIVE 8 Concert lived on ASTRO. Hureee!
Thanks to Robbie William-we slept at 5am the next day. Still he had not performed just yet. I surrendered, cos’ my eyes could barely open.
Sunday shopping was great. I got new pants from ZARA, on sale! =) Thanks to my sis, I am in debt now.
TV-out-of-service did not help on a race day. However, it was not all bad. Provided with that excused, I was able to watch it at Bar Flem, J. Telawi.
My Renault cap was on top of my head through out the race. And the team had made me happy and proud, again! [Mucho gracias por hacerme feliz!] That made it up for the qualifying that I had missed.
After the race, we got on with the Wimbledon Open at Finnegan. My first experience for tennis. It was pretty good (R. Federer vs A. Roddick). Would it be the next sport for me to kill time?
My sister had been given me inspiration to love sports all these while. I saw my first football match with her, which was Euro’96. I saw the first formula 1 race with her in 1998, one year before GP at Sepang.
However, I’m too occupied with F1 at the moment. And I believe I’m very much loving it, still.
* Five hours ago, I was 21 when I watched Fernando lifted up his fifth trophy in 2005. I am now 22, writing this.
My birthday wish has somehow to be related to that too! =) I am going to blow the candles with my friends at Chili’s, looking forward to that.
‘Thanks for the whole idea and making it happen Helena. Thank you!’ *smile*
